Greensboro, NC-- The city will host the US Figure Skating Championships in January.

Today, skating executives came back to Greensboro to check on the city's progress.

Officials from the Ice Network walked through the Greensboro Coliseum to make broadcast plans. They initially had concerns about the Coliseum's age, being 51 years old, but say things should work out fine.

And while the championships are still months away, officials are already looking for volunteers.

"There's lots of opportunities to participate," said Hill Carrow, Chairman of the US Figure Skating Championships. "Everything from helping with standard things like transportation and credentials to things that are a little more unusual, like skate sharpening and hair and makeup."
