Season 10, Week 9: Who Will Earn a Spot in the Finale?

Niecy Nash gave her final performance on Dancing with the Stars last week. Now there are only four couples left vying for the mirror ball trophy in the semi-finals tonight. In a perfect world, Nicole Scherzinger and Evan Lysacek would be in the finals. Reality television being what it is, it's anyone's game.

Tonight, each couple will perform two dances, one Latin and one Ballroom, to try and earn a spot in next week's finale. Expect the judges to be especially critical of the remaining contestants, as they decide, at least partially, who advances.

Dancing with the Stars Semi-Finals - Nicole and Derek

Nicole Scherzinger has been the frontrunner throughout season 10 of Dancing with the Stars with her partner Derek Hough. Many feel her dance skills with the Pussycat Dolls have given her an unfair advantage over the other less experienced celebrities. Nicole says otherwise.

Nicole and Derek have wowed the judges and fans alike all season with intricate routines, exponentially more difficult than any routines we have seen in ten seasons of Dancing with the Stars. Derek is a brilliant choreographer who pushes his partners to the limit, and then some. Look for two more spectacular performances tonight.

Nicole and Derek will do an Argentine Tango. Based on their past tango and paso doble this should be another spectacular event. Their other dance has not been revealed.

Dancing with the Stars Semi-Finals - Evan and Anna

Olympic figure skating gold medallist Evan Lysacek and his partner Anna Trebunskaya have battled for first place with Nicole and Derek for most of this season's Dancing with the Stars.

Evan is an athlete familiar with rigorous training and learning complicated routines and footwork. Some say this gives him an advantage over his competition. The pressure is definitely on for Evan. He has received criticism for not showing enough emotion or being too lyrical in the Latin routines.

For Evan and Anna to earn a spot in the finale, tonight's performances must be spot-on. They should try and please Len more than anything, as he has been their biggest critic. Tonight Evan and Anna perform a Foxtrot and a Paso Doble.
