The schedule for the 2010/2011 International Skating Union Figure Skating Grand Prix series has been announced. Kim Yu-na, the 2010 Olympic gold medalist, has been invited to two of the six events: the Cup of China in Beijing from Nov. 5 to 7, and the Cup of Russia in Moscow from Nov. 19 to 21.

Japan's Miki Ando and Mirai Nagau of the U.S. will skate in the Beijing competition, the third in the series, and Ando will also compete with Ashley Wagner of the U.S. in Moscow, the fifth event.

2010 Olympic silver medalist Mao Asada of Japan will skate in the first competition, the NHK Trophy, in her hometown of Nagoya, and the last event, the Trophée Eric Bompard in Paris.

Korea's Kwak Min-jung, who finished 13th in the Vancouver Olympics, was invited to only the fourth competition, the Skate America in Portland, Oregon.

The ISU selects the Grand Prix skaters based on their world rankings and assigns them to the six events. Each skater can be invited to up to two events per season. The top six finishers in the series are then invited to the Grand Prix Final in December, which will be held in Beijing this year.

Kim has won seven Grand Prix series events and three finals since her senior debut in the 2006/2007 season, but it is not certain yet if she will compete this season. When she was leaving for her training base in Toronto at the end of last month, Kim said she will "think about what to do this season," implying that she wants to continue to train and work on new programs and decide if she would compete depending on her condition.

Kim plans to return to Korea next month for an ice show organized by All That Sports, a company set up by her mother Park Mi-hee and herself at the end of April.
